    All India Council for Technical Education has released a notification relating to Pragati Scholarship Schemes for Girls and Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Differently Abled students for the academic year 2016-17.

    Pragati Scheme is implemented to provide the encouragement and support to Girl student to practice technical education. Under this scheme, every year 4000 students are awarded with scholarship. Under this scheme on girl is awarded with scholarship which can be extended for Two girl child, if family income is less than Rs. 8.00 lacs per annum.

    Under the Saksham Scheme, the differently able students are encouraged and supported to pursue technical education. Total 1000 students are benefited with this scholarship scheme in one year. The students whose parents annual income is less than Rs. 8.00 lacs are awarded with this scholarship scheme.

    Last Date : 10th January, 2017 upto 5.00 pm


    Eligibility Criteria :
    (@)= To be eligible for Pragati Scholarship Schemes for Girls and Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Differently abled students, the candidates should have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree or Diploma programme in any of the AICTE approved institute during the academic year 2015-16 through centralized admission process of the State/ Centre Government.

    (@)= Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% ST and 27% for OBC candidates


    Benefits Provided :
    =>> Tuition Fee of Rs. 30000/- or at actual, whichever is less

    =>> Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.

    =>> In case of candidates availing Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, and amount of Rs. 30000/- may be reimbursed to the candidates selected for this scheme by the way of reimbursement for

    *) Purchase of books,

    *) Purchase of equipment, software

    *) Purchase of Laptops.

    *) Purchase of Desktops

    *) Purchase of customized vehicle.

    *) Fees paid towards competitive examination application forms/exam fees for all examinations related to higher education / employment.

    *) Purchase of specific equipments/software for visually impaired/speech and hearing disabled.


    Application Process :

    @~>] The application Process to apply for Pragati Scholarship Schemes for Girls and Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Differently abled students is Online Only.

    @~>] The applications received through offline mode will not be accepted.

    @~>] Go to the AICTE web portal at aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in to register for the schemes.

    @~>] Once registered you will receive confirmation mail link.

    @~>] Login at above link with registered email id and password to complete the online application form.

    @~>] Fill the online application with all your details like Personal details, Family & Income details , Education Details, Bank Details and attachments ( Below mentioned) etc.

    Required Documents :

    1 Copies of mark sheet of class 10th/ 12th / Others as applicable and as filled up.

    2 Copy of annual family income certificate for the financial year 2014-15 in the prescribed format issued by Tahsildar or higher officer.

    3 Copy of admission letter to Diploma/Degree course is required.

    4 Copy of Tuition Fee Receipt, showing clearly and separately the amount of tuition fee paid.

    5 Copy of Bank Pass Book indicating the name of the student, Account number, IFSC code and Photograph pasted at appropriate place duly signed by Manager with rubber stamp of Bank affixed

    6 Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/Head of the institute (Annexure-I)

    7 Copy of AADHAR card (if available)

    8. Attested Copy of SC/ST/OBC

    9. Attested Copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate.

    10. Scanned copy of passport size photo and signature of candidate.
