    Gates Cambridge Scholarships are available for the year 2017 if you are interested in apply for the scholarship then you can apply one or before the due date which is mentioned below. This scholarship is most prestigious international scholarship in the worldwide. University of Cambridge is offering Gates Cambridge scholarship for international applicants from outside the UK.


    Gates Cambridge scholarships are to be awarded to the outstanding candidates outside the UK who wish to pursue their full-time Postgraduate study at University of Cambridge in UK.


    Applicants can select any subject that is available at the University of Cambridge for postgraduate study.


    Every year 95 new scholarships are awarded, from which 40 scholarships are awarded to US students and 55 scholarships are awarded to international students.


    Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded in 2 rounds.


    Round One : US citizens normally resident in USA


    Round Two : Citizens of all countries other than USA and US citizens normally resident outside in USA.


    Last Date : 7th December, 2016



    Eligibility Criteria :


    <>> Gates Cambridge Scholarships are open for the applicants who are the citizens of any country except United Kingdom.


    <>> Applicants applying to pursue any one of the below furnished residential courses at University of Cambridge.


    Ph.D, M.Sc. or M. Litt, full time postgraduate course.


    <>> Present students at Cambridge if applying for a new postgraduate course are also entitled to apply for the scholarship.


    <>> BA, BA affiliated, MBBChir Clinical Studies, MD Doctor of Medicine Degree, Part time Degrees, Non Degree courses are not eligible for Gates Cambridge Scholarships.



    Benefits Provided :


    <>> A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge providing additional, discretionary funding like academic development funding, family allowance, fieldwork etc.


    <>> The most generous international scholarships ‘ Gates Cambridge Scholarship’ covers the following costs.


    Core Components :


    * The university composition fee at the appropriate rate


    * A maintenance allowance for a single student £14,600 for 12 months


    * One economic single airfare from both side at the start and the end of the degree


    * Inbound visa costs and associated NHS surcharge cost


    Discretionary Components :


    @. Academic development funding from £500 to £1500


    @. Family allowance up to £10,120 for a first child and up to £4,320 for a second child


    @. Fieldwork allowance also provide


    @. Hardship funding


    @. Maternity/ paternity funding


    @. Some fourth funding for PhD applicants

    =@..] Candidates can apply for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship and admission to their chosen postgraduate course at the University of Cambridge and a Cambridge College via the Graduate Admission Office using GRADSAF form and required documents.

    Submission :


    The duly filled in application form along with the above mentioned documents have to be submitted at Graduate Admissions Office with the seven days of the submission of the application form on or before last date.
